Co-Founder
We're looking for a co-founder to help build and lead our company from the ground up.
Ideal Profile
- Tech Lead experience -- has run engineering teams before, either as a managing architect or hands-on engineering manager.
- Expert Technical Communications -- able to present our technical vision at conferences and industry events.
- Startup experience -- has built something from an early or zero stage, and understands the tradeoffs that come with limited resources and an evolving mission
- Deep architectural experience -- this matters more than any specific language or framework. We need someone who can design systems that hold up as scope and scale change
- AI-native development fluency -- a Claude Architect Certification would be great!
- Some background in web development, ideally TypeScript and/or Node.js -- this is all useful, but secondary to architectural judgment. Someone with the right foundation can pick up the tech stack fairly easily
Internships
Background required for all internship roles
- Comp Sci, EE bachelor's or higher, or advanced degree in another STEM discipline and a demonstrated portfolio of equivalent experience
- Proven record as an activist or volunteer for causes aligned with our mission
Responsibilities applicable to all internship roles
- Engage with campaigns and operations initiatives run by organizations we
align with.
- Help them apply the tools we have developed in-house or gained expertise in.
- This external engagement will be critical in ensuring our product idea pipeline meets the on-the-ground needs of our user base.
Software/Development Intern
Compensation: Currently unpaid (volunteer basis) -- see the Compensation section below for how that could change.
Ideal Profile
- Familiarity with agentic AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code)
- TypeScript / node-JS / web development experience
- Comfortable developing on Linux (or at least able to tweak existing Linux/bash scripts to run on MacOS)
Responsibilities
- Handle light-to-medium difficulty enhancements to our existing platform and tools.

Marketing Communications Intern

Ideal Profile
- Strong technical writing skills, as well as ability to address social implications of new technologies.
- Track record of published articles or comparable writing samples, ideally explaining technical or complex topics for a general audience
- Interest in (or prior experience with) grant writing or nonprofit fundraising
Responsibilities
- Write and publish articles explaining the novel principles behind the tech we've built so far.
- Write applications for grants and non-profit fiscal sponsorships.
- Help build our public presence -- newsletter content, social media, and outreach materials aimed at mission-aligned organizations.

Compensation
We are in our initial stages, so funding is sporadic, but still occasionally available for some projects.
In these instances, we pay out in cryptocurrency: ETH or DAI. We are are committed to using sanction and debanking-resistant payment systems, and we look for that same commitment from our potential colleagues.
As of September 2026, that funding is available for the Marketing Communications Intern role specifically -- see that listing above for the current amount and terms.
Eventually we plan to pay salaries at the low-to-mid end of the market -- per a compensation policy
that is transparent and formula-based. This plus meaningful equity in the for-profit subsidiary as it grows.

For all roles we are flexible in how we start working together, but prefer someone who is able to commit at least 20 hours per week.
